Last night the moon was wrong, all wrong. First of all, dark did not “fall” until well after 9:15PM EST. When I looked out the window at 9:35-ish PM to check the cloudcover/look for stars, I saw the moon had risen well over the treeline, its crescent rotated approximately 75° to the right, and placed in the sky at 240° northwest. It was extraordinarily large, and that it rose in the west – for the second month in a row – is against everything we have historically observed all our lives.
I looked out at the moon again at 10:15PM. It was even larger. The degree of rotation had increased somewhat as well. And it was illuminated a fiery, glowing orange, with an energetic aura of significant thickness. It was lower in the sky but still above the treeline, and further west by at least another 10-15 degrees. It seemed to me that it was closer to the earth, but about to dip down out of sight, if it was possible for me to imagine some kind of trajectory based on the two positions. At 10:30PM I returned to the window to check it (alas, where I live I do not have a porch!)… and the moon was gone. The sky was dark.
Why is no one talking about this? I searched online for “moon position June 17, 2018”, but found nothing. My head is full of pressure at the base of my skull. I feel extremely creative, cannot get my fill of writing, reading, learning. Alternatively, a tiredness has come over me off and on the past few days, causing me to need a nap when usually I never do. My last few night’s sleep have been deep, but the preceding weeks were broken during the night by what I think of as “uncalledfor wakefulness”, rising finally in the pre-dawn hours, and averaging 4-5 hours of rest each night yet suffering no daytime fatigue. I’ve observed labile, fractious moods in others, even suspicion and overt violence in people in the world around me. Whatever affects the moon affects humanity, that much is sure. Those who are fully awake are less affected, I notice (another reason to maintain high frequency).
I can only imagine what the arctic reindeer are doing. What circles are they making now?
