Le Bouvier – Hymn of the Cathars
This song contains light codes for the listener. It is Le Bouvier - the Hymn of the Cathars, and is the ancient Cathar hymn to the Bootes Constellation and Arcturus. The Bootes constellation is also known as the *Cattle Herder, and in Occitanian dialect is called "Le Bouvier", phonetically (roughly): 'ler-boo-yay'. Le Bouvier is the french name for the Bootes constellation, where the star Arcturus is. Sung in ancient Occitan dialect. The translation of the title means “The Herdsman”. A religious chant with the meditative effect of the Buddhist "Om", this song tells the story of a Cathar herder come home to die, knowing that the Catholic church is going to kill them all. It is the chorus - the a, e, i, o, u - which is the imprint, the trigger for the soul.
