The moon just suddenly appeared up high, it did not rise…
...it used to rise in the east and fall in the west, along an arc across the sky. Tonight it didn't even rise, it practically materialized - I am guessing that the earth underwent a pretty significant "wobble", increasing the poleshift, and VOILA! There it is!
